The Sloane Street Surgery can offer chaperones, both male and female, to patients undergoing intimate examinations. Patients are also welcome to bring a friend or relative with them to consultations if they wish.
We have disabled access through the rear of the building. Please phone reception for more advice regarding this.
Patients are able to request repeat prescriptions by telephone or by post. These will normally be posted to the patients home but in exceptional circumstances they can be telephoned or faxed through to the pharmacy. There is a charge for this service.
If a patient has a complaint regarding anything relating to the practice, they are advised to contact either the practice manager, Ms Janet White, or the doctor concerned and a reply will be given as soon as possible. Written complaints to doctors will be dealt with in accordance with the practice complaints procedure. Please download the complaints form here.
All the doctors in the practice are members of the Independent Doctors Forum. This offers access to an independent review of any complaints which cannot be resolved within the practice. All doctors are fully registered and in good standing with the General Medical Council.
The surgery is open and we are consulting with our patients on all medical matters. However, please do not come into the surgery without first speaking to your doctor.
Given the current coronavirus outbreak, and the latest guidance from the government, we are now doing all of our consultations by video link or by telephone and only bringing patients into the surgery following this if they absolutely need an examination.
We want to reassure you that we are still very much committed to managing routine health needs of our patients as much as we possibly can. Via video or telephone we are able to prescribe medications and set up referrals to consultants, many of whom are also practicing this way. If you are unsure of how to do this, our team are able to set it up for you. Our telephone lines are fully operational but many of our staff are now working from home.
