What’s this new service all about?
Today we are launching a home visiting service for any of our existing patients and hopefully lots of new patients around the Hampshire/Wiltshire/Berkshire border. The project is led by Dr Nicky Naunton Morgan, an experienced GP who currently works at Sloane Street Surgery, London and at The Royal Mews Surgery, Buckingham Palace as one of the Apothecaries to the King and Queen’s Medical Household.
Nicky is based in Ibthorpe SP11, Hampshire and is keen to extend Sloane Street’s clinical care to patients near her home. Initially, local home visits and online appointments will be on a Thursday and Friday. All patients will be registered as patients of Sloane Street Surgery, London. They will benefit from the vast expertise of the Sloane Street Surgery medical team who have excellent connections for advice, and referrals with some of the best consultants in London and the UK. Nicky will continue to be part of the medical team at Sloane Street and will be in London for face-to-face appointments in the early part of the week.
Nicky has over 20 years’ experience working in the NHS and has worked locally in the Winchester area more recently. In the past she set up Domidoc, a holistic service looking after elderly housebound patients as a way of preventing hospital admission. She specialises in paediatrics and dermatology and believes in a holistic approach for all her patients. You can read her full bio here.
Who is the service for?
Home visits and online appointments are for existing registered patients and new patients living in the area covered (see below).
What services do you offer?
Nicky is able to offer most of the services that are available at the surgery, including:
- Acute illness
- Full annual medicals
- Well woman checks
- Fertility, contraception, menopause and HRT
- Antenatal and postnatal checks
- Well man checks
- Mental health
- Child developmental checks
- Adolescent health
- Private referrals
- Blood tests
- Rapid diagnostic tests i.e. rapid strep throat swab
- Covid and other viral tests
- Travel vaccination advice
- Some vaccinations (by appointment):
- Children: Chickenpox, Meningitis
- Adults: Shingles, flu vaccination and the latest RSV vaccination
What area will be covered?
The area between Marlborough, Hungerford, Andover and Stockbridge. Please see the map below.
When will the service be available?
Thursday and Friday: Home visits and online service in and around Ibthorpe SP11, North Hampshire.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: Existing and new patients from Hampshire can be seen face-to-face at Sloane Street Surgery, London.
How much does it cost?
- No new patient’s registration fee (currently)
- Home visit: from £250 (distance calculated from Ibthorpe SP11) *
- Hampshire online appt: £190 (30mins) *
- Sloane Street Surgery face-to-face appointment – as per London fees
Please note that these prices do not include charges such as
pathology costs or vaccination costs.
*The cost of your appointment will reflect the time taken for your consultation,
any additional time outside of the consultation, including travel, plus administration costs.
